Rapid Eye RE3 Multi Media V9 DSP
Note: Rapid Eye DSP v9 units are
based on the new generation 3 of the Rapid Eye hardware and are designed to run
firmware v9 and higher (firmware is the software running on the unit itself).
Rapid Eye DSP v9 CAN NOT use older version of the firmware such as v8.X or v7.X.
Rapid Eye generation 3 hardware can be recognized by the availability of 2 USB
ports under the front lid on the front panel.
You can upgrade your Admin & View, OneAdmin & View or
View-only V7, V8 and V6 software to Version 9.
Version 9 Admin and View are compatible with Remote Rapid Eye Units
DVRs running V9, V8, V7 or V6 software.
You cannot upgrade a Rapid Eye DVR from V6 or V7 or V8 to V9.
All V9 software already contains the DST update.
Use the following link if you need to upgrade an existing Rapid Eye
V9 DSP DVR to V9.0.23 and to upgrade your ADMIN & VIEW, or VIEW-only
software to V9.0.23.
Use the following link to install a default new version of ADMIN and
VIEW V9.0.17
Note: The use of the latest Rapid Eye ADMIN and VIEW application is always
recommended regardless even if you are using older SW version on the DVR
Admin and View and DVR Upgrade instructions:

Download the
appropriate software package (DVR +ADMIN and VIEW or just ADMIN and VIEW) by
clicking on the link above.

Extract the
ZIP file to a local folder in your PC, e.g., C:\Upgrade.

Upgrade your
Admin & View, OneAdmin & View, or View-only application by running C:\
Upgrade\REMUpgrade90.exe. Please consult the Rapid Eye User Guides for
detailed information.

It is
critical to upgrade Admin and View software to v9.0.23 before upgrading the
DVR unit.

upgrade a Rapid Eye DVR from V6 or V7 or V8/V8.1 to V9

Only Rapid
Eye DVR V9 can be upgraded to V9
Rapid Eye Multi Media V8 DSP
Note: Rapid Eye DSP v8 units are
based on generation 2 of the Rapid Eye hardware and CAN NOT be upgraded to
version 9 of the firmware (firmware is the software running on the unit itself)
as version 9 of the firmware is designed to run exclusively on Rapid Eye
generation 3 units sold as Rapid Eye DSP v9. Rapid Eye generation 3 hardware can
be recognized by the availability of 2 USB ports under the front lid on the
front panel. Rapid Eye DSP v8 units are lacking these 2 front USB ports.
You can upgrade your Admin & View, OneAdmin & View or View-only V7,
V8 and V6 software to Version 9.
Version 9 Admin and View are compatible with Remote Rapid Eye Units DVRs
running V9, V8, V7 or V6 software.
You cannot upgrade a Rapid Eye DVR from V6 or V7 to V8.
All V8 software already contains the DST update.

For New USA DST compliance for Rapid Eye running Version 7, please download
the DST upgrade package from the link below:
Note –a License Key is no longer required to Upgrade V5/V6 software to
V7. Prior to Admin and View V8.0.82 software, If you
attempted to upgrade a Rapid Eye DVR running an earlier version of software to
Version 7 (V6 or V5), you required a license key for each DVR unit you planned
on upgrading. This is no longer necessary as of Version 8.0.82 .It is critical
you first update your Admin and View software to 8.0.82 before upgrading the DVR
unit or you will still be prompted for a license key.

Rapid Eye V5 and V6
For New USA DST compliance for Rapid Eye running Version 5 and Version 6,
please download the DST upgrade package from the link below:
The following software contains:
a. The upgrade for Rapid Eye Admin & View, OneAdmin & View and
View-only software to Version 8. New Admin and View features and modifications
are being done only in Version 8.
b. The upgrade for the DVR software to Version 6.2.0.60.
Update instructions:
NOTE! For full DST compliance, please upgrade the
DVR SW and the Admin & View, OneAdmin & View, or View-only SW running on
all the PCs used to remotely access Rapid Eye DVRs.
1. Download the Rapid Eye Upgrade ZIP file by clicking on the link above.
2. Extract the ZIP file to a local folder in your PC, e.g.,
C:\DST_Upgrade.
3. Upgrade your Admin & View, OneAdmin & View, or View-only
application by running C:\DST_Upgrade\REMUpgrade60.exe. Please consult the Rapid
Eye User Guides for detailed information. This upgrade can also be done with the
CD created in step #4B below.
4. Upgrade your Rapid Eye Multi-Media DVRs from either a remote
Maintenance session or with a CD at the local DVR as follows:
4A. Remote Maintenance session When prompted for the location of the
Upgrade folder, point it to C:\DST_Upgrade\RU\Upgrade. Consult the User Guides
for details.
4B. With a CD at the local DVR Record the contents of C:\DST_Upgrade into
a CD-R. Make sure to select in the CD recording SW, the option to close the
session and close the CD when the recording is complete. Insert this CD in the
Rapid Eye Multi-Media DVR's CD tray and reboot the unit. Please wait until the
upgrade is complete and the unit becomes operational.

Software
IMPORTANT: Regardless of the platform being accessed
(Fusion, Rapid Eye or HRDP), HFVMS software requires to be licensed to operate
properly.
Fusion:
License to run FVMS on ONE
workstation and access multiple Fusion DVRs is included with the purchase of
every Fusion DVR. The HFVMS software operates for 30 days after the initial
installation. A proper license key must be obtained during this 30 day time
period. Please refer to HFVMS installation manual for details of how to obtain
license key.
Rapid Eye:
A license to access Rapid Eye
units is obtainable by purchasing part number HFVMSR.
Note: When upgrading older version of HFVMSR
software and you have installed and license key to access Rapid Eye DVRs, you
must contact Honeywell Video Technical Support before the installation of HFVMS
v3.6.1801 or higher. Technical support has to verify your existing HFVMS
installation using your current valid license key; prior to issuing a new
license key. Your current registration code will not work with HFVMS v3.6.1801
of higher.
HRDP:
A license to access HRDP units is
obtainable by purchasing part number HFVMSP.
Fusion DVR Server software

IMPORTANT: The following Fusion IV DVR server
software is for download ONLY for upgrading Fusion III DVRs. This is because
Fusion I & II DVRs DO NOT support Fusion IV software
IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading a Fusion DVR
connected to a Honeywell WIN-PAK or Pro-Watch system, contact Technical
Support (1-800-796-2288) in advance of upgrading the Fusion DVR software. This
is necessary to address the Fusion IV API additions with Pro-Watch and WIN-PAK
system integration.

DVRNS - HRHD+ Series DVR Name Service Program
The name service program works with the following HRHD DVR's running the most
current embedded firmware on this website.
HRHD1+, HRHD4+, HRHD9+, HRHD16+ , HRHD410+
If you use dynamic IP addressing for your DVR's (DHCP), you can have the DVR
register any change of its Dynamic IP automatically with the following Name
Server Program. Your HRHD RAS software can be set to check with this DVRNS
program for the current up to date IP address of the DVR's.

HRDP Performance DVR Firmware Upgrade
The DVR Firmware Upgrade procedures are found in Section 6 “Operation – S/W
upgrade” of the HRDP4/8/16-D DVR User Guide doc. Number 800-02089 and Section 6
“Operation – Upgrade Firmware” of the HRDP4F DVR User Guide doc. Number
800-02471. It is important to read the procedure in advance of installing the
firmware.
