http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931836/

Rapid Eye V9 Multi Media (MM), Multi media DSP (DSP) and Active Alert (AA)

Note: Rapid Eye V9 MM, DSP and AA DVRs are based on the new generation 3 of the Rapid Eye hardware and are designed to run firmware v9 and higher (firmware is the software running on the unit itself). Rapid Eye V9 MM, DSP and AA DVRs CAN NOT use older versions of the firmware such as v8.X or v7.X. Rapid Eye generation 3 hardware can be recognized by the availability of 2 USB ports under the front lid on the front panel.

You can upgrade your Admin & View, OneAdmin & View, or View-only V7, V8 and V6 software to Version 9.

Version 9 Admin and View software is compatible with Remote Rapid Eye DVRs running V9, V8, V7 or V6 software.

You cannot upgrade a Rapid Eye DVR from V6 or V7 or V8 to V9.

All V9 software already contains the DST update.
